This cast resin and fibreglass console is a single slab of frosted resin, rectangular in section and supported at only two points. At one end it sits on a block plinth finished in matt gold whose faces are worked into irregular eroded hollows, as though material has been washed out of them. At the other it is carried on a plain clear leg that folds outward at the floor into a flat foot. Between the two the slab runs unsupported, and its underside edge is left square so the span reads as a single line.
The span is the whole engineering problem. The slab is supported at only two points and its middle carries nothing beneath it, so the section runs full and even the entire length with no lightening anywhere. Its underside edge is left square rather than chamfered, which keeps the underside reading as one straight line from end to end. The plinth at one end is a different object altogether: opaque, matt gold, and worked into irregular eroded hollows that run across its faces and around its corners, so the block reads as weathered while the slab above it reads as ice. The clear leg at the other end does the opposite job, folding out at the floor and disappearing, which leaves the plinth as the only visual support.
It belongs in a hall or behind a sofa, against a wall rather than out in the open, and it needs a clear run of wall to itself. The gold plinth is the anchor and should sit at the end you approach first. The frosted slab reads best with light along its length, which a hall usually gives it. Because it is supported at only two points, the floor under both feet needs to be level. It takes four people to place and cannot be walked round a tight corner. Indoors only.
Where the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. The long span sets the pace here. Three things are settled at order. The length is quoted to whatever you need, the plinth can be finished in silver or in a dark bronze instead of gold, and the slab is offered clear as well as frosted. The eroded texture on the plinth can also be left off. Both the overall length and the top thickness are yours to set. Two made side by side will share the pattern eroded into the gold block. Two made months apart will not. The crate is packed to keep the unsupported middle of the span clear, and it takes four people to move. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Eroded gold fibreglass under one end of a frosted span places this console with our fibreglass sculptures; as hall furniture it joins our art furniture, and for an entrance it is one choice from our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
