The top of this cast resin and brass coffee table is a thick round slab of clear resin, and its upper surface is broken all over into an irregular fractured texture, like ice that has been struck. The edge is left rough and chipped rather than turned, so the disc reads as a broken sheet. Five legs carry it, each a slim straight tube of polished brass, and above each one a small round brass disc is set into the top. The brass is bright and mirror-finished.
The top and the legs are opposite decisions. The slab is thick, clear, and broken all over its upper surface into an irregular fractured texture, and its edge is left rough and chipped rather than turned, so the disc looks like a broken sheet rather than a manufactured top. Against that, the five brass legs are as controlled as the top is not: slim straight tubes, mirror-polished, set at an even spacing round the rim. Over each leg the top shows a small round disc of brass, five bright points in the broken surface, and they are meant to be seen.
This belongs in front of a sofa with generous room to approach on the open side. The brass is bright and will pick up every lamp in the room, which is the reason to place it where light comes from more than one side. The brass discs are seen from above, so the top is worth looking down on rather than past. The chipped edge wants clearance at walkways. Indoors.
Whether it is standard or bespoke sets the build: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The fractured surface sets the pace here. Three points are open. The brass can be supplied brushed instead of polished, or in a dark bronze, and the slab is offered tinted. The number of legs is fixed at five, and the brass discs can be finished to match whatever the legs are. Top diameter and overall height are settled at order. The fracture pattern in the top will only agree between pieces that were made in the same order. It ships with the five brass legs and their discs wrapped, and wants four people to position it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A struck-ice slab on five mirror-brass legs makes this coffee table one of our art furniture; the broken top suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and the seating group it serves our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
