This stool is one thick band of deep green cast resin folded back and forth on itself, rising into three rounded arches that stand side by side with bends between them at the floor, so tall openings run up through the piece and its top is three rounded crowns rather than a single flat seat. The cut faces read almost black, while the long sides glow green wherever light reaches through them.
A band this thick has to keep the same wall through every bend, because in a tinted resin any thinning shows at once as a paler patch, and on a folded form the bends are exactly where the eye goes. Each turn is therefore worked to one radius, and the cut faces at front and back are polished flat so they show the full depth of the colour, which is why they read so much darker than the curved sides. The openings between the arches are finished as carefully as the outside, since they are seen into from both sides and show every mark.
A folded block of green resin reads as weight rather than as furniture, which makes it useful where a light stool would look flimsy: a hall, a cloakroom, or where a run of seating finishes. At 45cm it is seat height, and its crowned top makes it as much a sculpture to stand beside a chair as a seat. Put it where light can reach the arches from one side; from the front alone they read as one dark face. Over a pale floor the green throws colour down through the openings.
Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The arch count can be taken to two for a heavier read or four for a lighter one, and their height is set at order. The green is offered lighter or deeper, in other colours from the same stock, and colourless. Plan size and seat height are both cut to order. The stool does not come apart, so the route in wants measuring, though at this size that is rarely a problem. One person can carry it, lifted from beneath rather than by one arch. It travels crated with every arch opening packed. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
One band of green resin folded into arches belongs with our organic sculptures; colour that deepens to near black at every cut face leads to our resin sculptures, and a heavy seat for a cloakroom joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
