Deep Blue Windblown Figure Resin Sculpture, 64cm, a windswept figure in deep blue resin on a black marble base, set against a plain light background.
Deep Blue Windblown Figure Resin Sculpture - 64cm $1,95700
Description

A figure in blue cast resin, caught mid-stride by the wind. A wind-tossed crest curls over at the top, the body bends in an S with a knee pushing forward, and a broad skirt sweeps out to one side at the foot. The blue is deep and rich in the skirt and pales to a clear sky tone through the body and the crest. Black marble, supplied with it, forms its base.

Deep Blue in the Sweep of the Skirt

Blue gathered in the skirt gives this figure a strong base and a light, airy top. The colour is rich in the broad sweep at the foot, where the resin folds over on itself, and thins to a pale, clear blue as the body rises, so the crest at the top looks as light as spray. The blend is gradual and seamless, and each piece varies a little. A full polish brings the blue up to a wet, glossy finish. It brings the calm of open water to a room, and it suits a bathroom especially well.

A side table, a desk or a shelf suits it, in a bathroom, a bedroom or a living room. It loves white walls and natural light, and it sits comfortably beside glass, silver and pale timber. Daylight from one side makes the skirt glow; a spotlight above picks out the curl of the crest. Across the room, the figure is one stroke of blue.

Navy or Sky Blue, and the Delivery

It takes 3–4 weeks to make as standard, and 5–6 weeks to make bespoke. The blue can be deepened to navy or lightened to sky blue, and it can be carried up into the crest or kept to the skirt. The block can also come in white marble. The same figure is made clear and marbled in black, each sold separately. It comes on its block in one crate, and it is placed by one person, who lifts from the base and keeps the figure upright. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Deep blue gathered in a sweeping skirt places it among our resin sculptures; the stride and the knee pressed forward lead to our contemporary and modern sculptures, and more blue for a bathroom or bedroom is in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
