This cast resin lounge chair is made entirely of tubes. Parallel rounded sections run vertically up the back and then turn forward at the top, and a second run crosses beneath to form the seat and continues out into an arm at each side, each tube ending in a rounded stop. There is no flat surface anywhere on it. The resin is frosted rather than clear, and the colour runs along the run of tubes from a strong copper at one end towards a pale amber at the other.
A chair built only from tubes has to solve every junction with a curve. The vertical run climbs the back and turns forward at the top with the section held constant round the bend; a second run crosses beneath to make the seat and continues outward into an arm at each side, each tube stopping in a rounded end rather than being cut off. There is no flat surface anywhere on the piece and no visible join between one run and the next. The frosting is what makes the geometry readable - a clear version would show the far tubes through the near ones and the count would be lost. Colour runs along the run rather than up it, strong copper at one end, pale amber at the other, so the gradient crosses the tubes instead of following them.
At 86cm this is a wide lounge chair, and it needs room at both sides for the arm tubes. Facing into a room suits it, since the tube count reads from the front and disappears from the side. The copper gradient runs along the length of the run, so it is worth deciding which end faces the light before it is set down. Two people to place it. For indoor use.
Figure the difference between standard and bespoke at 3–4 weeks against 5–6. The tube run is the slow part. There are three decisions. The gradient can be run between two other colours or the whole chair made in one tint, the tube count can be changed, and the piece is offered clear instead of frosted. The seat height is open. The seat height is yours to name, and so is the overall width. Where two or more are wanted, the gradient along the run of tubes is held the same across the group. The packing is designed round the two arm tubes and the ends of the run; allow four people on arrival. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Frosted copper tubes bent into back, seat and arms make a lounge chair for our art furniture; the run of tubes suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a sitting room facing the light among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
