The Contemporary Battle Cross Memorial Bronze Sculpture stands at 140cm and presents the fallen soldier arrangement in precise, unsparing detail: a rifle planted barrel-down into its base, a combat helmet resting on the stock, and a pair of laced military boots standing at ground level, all unified on a stepped rectangular bronze plinth.
This handcrafted bronze memorial sculpture is produced using the traditional lost-wax casting method, which allows every surface detail to be preserved with clarity. The rifle's magazine, grip, and barrel are faithfully reproduced; the helmet carries its strap and buckle; the boots show individual lace eyelets and a convincingly textured sole. A warm antique bronze patina, with golden-brown highlights and darker recessed areas, reinforces the gravity and restraint of the composition.
The plinth incorporates a blank inscription panel on its front face, which can be personalised for a dedication, name, dates, or regimental text. At 140cm and 250kg, this piece commands a significant physical presence suited to formal memorial gardens, civic or institutional grounds, regimental messes, veterans' associations, and large private estates. It reads equally well indoors within a wide entrance hall or gallery setting, and its durable cast bronze construction is fully rated for permanent outdoor installation.
Patina options include natural green verdigris, dark brown, and polished bright bronze. The composition can be scaled up or down to suit your site, and the inscription panel can be engraved to order. The piece may also be adapted as a fully bespoke commission inspired by specific memorial traditions or regimental heraldry. Please contact us before ordering to discuss your requirements.
