A low bench cast in colourless resin. Below a single level top the mass drops into two inverted domes standing side by side, each one a rounded bowl form pointing downward to a small flat foot. Between them the material pinches to a narrow bridge with a third, slighter point beneath it. Everything is water clear, and the top is a plain unbroken plane.
The object gets its character from the disagreement between its top and its underside. The top is flat, level and rectangular with rounded ends, entirely calm. Everything below it curves: two large domes hanging down and inward, meeting at a waist so narrow it reads almost as a joint, with a small third point dropping from the bridge between them. The domes are far from matched: one is broad and full, the other slim and drawn down almost to a point. In a clear material the effect is that the flat top appears to float on two rounded voids, and the floor beneath is visible through both of them, rounded and drawn inward. Where the two domes come nearest to each other the material doubles and reads as a dense vertical band.
This is a genuinely low piece: a bench in front of a sofa, a step stool, a stand at the foot of a bed, or a platform for a large plant pot. It seats one adult on each dome. The top is flat enough for a tray and long enough for two, and the height suits a room where the sightlines matter and a table of any height would break them. It wants to be seen from the side, since that is the only view that shows both domes and the bridge; from directly above it reads simply as a clear rectangle. On a patterned floor the pattern comes up through both domes. Indoors only.
Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The dome count is the decision that moves everything else. It runs from a single dome for a small side piece, through this pair, to a run of three that turns it into a bench for three people. The height of the bridge between them, which decides whether the domes read as two separate feet or as one continuous undulation. And the top, which can stay this plain plane or be given a rolled edge that catches a bright line all round. A tint can be added if a clear piece is not wanted. Length, depth and height are all quoted from your own figures. One crate on a pallet, and two people to carry a piece this dense. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Two unmatched domes under one flat plane suit our abstract sculptures; as a low seat it also joins our art furniture, and its glassy mass our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
