Colourless Rounded Leg Cast Resin Child's Chair - 58cm
Colourless Rounded Leg Cast Resin Child's Chair - 58cm $3,10600
Description

This is a chair built for a child and the proportions say so: the seat sits low, the back is short, and there is very little of it between the floor and the top of the back. The back is a rounded square with generously radiused corners, the seat is dished across the pan, and the two meet in a curve. Four legs are thick and round with softly domed ends, wider than a chair this size structurally needs. Everything is colourless and there is no sharp edge anywhere on it, inside or out.

Built Small, With Nothing Sharp on It

Everything about this piece is decided by who sits on it. The section is heavy for its size: the legs are thick and round where a chair at adult scale would be slimmer, and their ends are domed rather than cut flat. There is no sharp edge on the piece anywhere, inside the back or out, and every corner is generously radiused. The seat is dished across the pan so a small sitter stays put. Being colourless, it shows what is behind it and reads as an outline more than an object, which in a child's room means it takes up far less visual space than its footprint suggests. The surfaces are worked back to a clear finish that stays clear at the leg ends, where a chair like this takes its knocks.

At 58cm high this belongs in a child's room, a playroom or a corner of a family room, and it sits at a small table rather than a dining one. Being colourless it takes almost no visual space, which matters in a room that already has a lot in it. The thick legs and domed ends mean it survives being dragged about. Put it where light comes from the side and the whole chair picks up an outline; against a window it nearly disappears. Indoors only.

Sizing It, and the Options

Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The rounded legs set the pace here. Three choices are open. It is offered tinted as well as clear, the leg section can be slimmed within limits if a lighter chair is wanted, and the seat height is set to a figure you give us. A matching table is made to the same scale. Seat height and overall height are each specified. The water clarity through the legs is matched only when the pieces are made as one order. The crate is built around the four soft leg ends, and two people should carry it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A child's chair with nothing sharp on it sits in our art furniture; its simple rounded form suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and in a nursery or playroom our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
