This cast resin low table carries its broad rippled slab close to the floor, and the slab does two opposite things on its two faces. The top is worked into standing ripples, an irregular field of raised and hollowed forms like water caught mid-movement, and they cover the whole surface. The four sides and the underside are left flat and clear, so the block reads as a plain rectangle from the edge and as moving water from above. Slim clear legs stand beneath it, set well in from the corners, and they are barely visible through the mass.
The two faces of this slab could not be more different. The top is an irregular field of standing ripples, raised and hollowed, covering the surface completely and running off all four edges rather than stopping short of them. The sides and the underside are flat, clear and untouched. Seen from a chair the table is moving water; seen from across the room, edge-on, it is a plain rectangle. The slim legs stand well in from the corners and are the same colourless material, so from most angles they are read through the mass of the slab and not seen directly. The block is thinner than its length suggests and the ripples are what give it apparent depth.
It is a large table to anchor a seating group, and it needs clear floor on the approach side. The rippled top is the whole piece and it reads from above, so a position where people look down on it is right and a position against a sofa back is not. What is under it shows through, so a plain rug or a plain floor serves it and a patterned one competes. The top holds a ring mark. It is heavy and takes two people. Indoors only.
Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. The rippled surface is the slow part. Three decisions sit with you. The length and the width are both quoted to your figures, the slab is offered tinted, and the legs can be supplied in metal instead of resin. The ripple pattern is different on every top and cannot be repeated to order. You give the overall length and the overall width. The run of the ripple across the top is consistent within an order and not between orders. With the four corners of the slab crated clear, four people can bring it in. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A slab of clear resin rippled like standing water belongs with our art furniture; the worked top suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and placed before a long sofa it joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
