Colourless Folded End Cast Resin Bridge Console, 170cm, with rippled top and dimpled folded end supports, shown on a plain white background.
Colourless Folded End Cast Resin Bridge Console - 170cm $14,64800
Description

This bridge console is one continuous slab of cast resin. It runs level for most of its length with a rippled upper face, and at each end it turns through a right angle and drops straight to the floor, standing on its own folded feet with no separate leg anywhere. The inner faces of those two folds are worked into deep dimples, so from the side the piece reads as a smooth bridge and from beneath as something quite rough. The resin is colourless and polished hard.

A Slab That Folds Down at Both Ends

There is no leg on this piece at all. One continuous slab runs level for most of its length and then turns through a right angle at each end and drops to the floor, standing on its own folded feet, so the material is both surface and support with no join between them anywhere. That puts the whole load through two bends, and the section is visibly fuller through each of them than along the span. The two faces are treated differently: the upper surface is rippled and smooth, while the inner faces of the folds are worked into deep dimples. From the side the piece reads as a clean bridge; from beneath it is rough, and only someone sitting down sees both.

Built to standing height, it belongs in an entrance hall or along a wide landing, with a long run of clear wall behind it. Both folded ends need level floor because they are the only supports. The rippled top reads from above and the dimpled inner faces only from a low angle, so the piece rewards being walked past rather than sat at. Very heavy, four people. Indoor use.

The Folds, the Span, and the Wait

The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. Most of it is the two folded ends. Three things can change. The length is open, the slab is offered tinted, and the dimpling on the inner faces can be run coarser or left off. The height of the folded ends is settled at order. Overall length and top thickness are both quoted on request. The dimpling on the inner faces is common to a single order and particular to it. It arrives with the two folded ends where they meet the floor boxed off, and four people are wanted to set it down. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

One clear slab folding down into its own feet makes this console a working member of our art furniture; the single unbroken line from end to end suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a console made for a hallway belongs equally to our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
