This clear resin coffee table is a drum whose whole side is worked into upright folds, each one swelling out and drawing back like a curtain of falling water. Between the folds the material arches clear of the floor, so the drum rests on the crests alone and daylight passes underneath. The top is a shallow rippled disc that reads as the same movement seen from above.
Every crest runs unbroken from the top edge down to the floor, and the folds are not evenly spaced: they vary in width around the circuit, so the drum reads as water rather than as fluting. The arches between the crests are open all the way round, and there is no flat panel anywhere on the side for the eye to settle on. The resin is a high-clarity grade and every fold is polished individually, since a continuous curve cannot be worked with a straight tool, and the finish is the same on the inner face of each arch as on the outer face of each crest. The underside of the top is polished too, because it is in plain view from a seated position through the open arches.
This is a low round table for a deep seat, and being circular it presents the same face whichever way it is turned. It gains most on a hard floor, where the arches let the surface show through and the folds pick up its tone; over a dark rug the whole piece reads heavier and the transparency is largely lost. Indoor use only.
Standard pieces take 3–4 weeks and bespoke commissions 5–6. Other diameters are made to order, and the fold count is set for the span rather than carried over from this one, so a wider table gets more folds instead of broader ones, which keeps the water reading at any size. A bolder count is available where the piece is to read as fluting rather than as a wave. The top is supplied rippled as here or flat and polished level, and that is the choice to make if the table will hold a laptop or a tray of glasses rather than a book; the rippled top is the more striking of the two by some distance. A tinted version is made, and it changes the character completely, because the arches stop showing the floor through them. The table is one item, crated upright, and it is lifted at two opposing crests rather than under the arches, which are the parts of the piece least able to take a hand's weight. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Its clear drum, folded like falling water, belongs to our contemporary and modern sculptures, joins our art furniture, and suits our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
