A stack of resin cubes, standing on the lowest one. Cubes set one on another and each turned a few degrees further round than the last, so the stack leans and recovers as it climbs. Colourless at the foot and deepening to teal at the top, so the stack darkens as it climbs. Nothing is supplied with it; the bottom cube sits on whichever face is downward.
Stacking and turning the same solid repeatedly asks a different question: not where two forms meet, but how far a regular thing can be disturbed and still read as regular. The graduation runs with the lean rather than against it, so the darkest cubes are the ones furthest out of line and the colour makes the leaning look deliberate. Each cube is turned against the one beneath it and none of them is bonded, so the mass has to be continuous or the lean would show. Polished on all six faces of every cube, which is most of the work in a piece like this.
A desk, a shelf or a low table, at a height where the lean is read from the side. A dark ground shows the clear cubes at the bottom; a pale one makes them disappear. Light along the stack is split at every face, so it throws a different pattern from each side. The lean is what carries; the graduation is a near matter and does not read across a room.
In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The teal is run the other way up, the cubes are set at wider angles, and the stack is made at another height. Set the cubes at wider angles and the stack spreads rather than climbing, so the surface it needs changes. The same stack is made in a full blue rather than a graduation, which turns it from something you look through into something you look at. The whole stack travels as one, bedded on its lowest cube, and there is nothing to put together at the other end. One person with both hands. A solid of this size is denser than it looks from across a room. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Stacks of turning cubes graded from clear to teal stand in our indoor sculptures; the disturbed regular rhythm belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and its graded colour belongs among our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
