This cast resin sculpture is a stag mid-stride. One foreleg is lifted and drawn up, one hind leg trails behind, and the weight sits over the two feet still on the ground. The neck arches back while the animal is still walking, so that the muzzle tips skyward and the rack sweeps straight back from the head, level with it, instead of standing over it. The body is longer than the animal is high, which is unusual for a standing deer and is what makes the stride read. Everything is clear and polished throughout.
Three-point contact is a structural decision before it is a pose. The whole animal is carried on two feet and a trailing hoof, so the mass has to sit inside the triangle those three make or the piece leans, and the chest is therefore cut a little heavier than a deer's really is while the raised foreleg is drawn out fine. That trade is made at the shoulder, where a thickened section is easy to lose in the muscle. The rack is the other passage: it is carried straight back from the head and out over the body, unsupported along its length, so the beams leave the skull thick and thin out towards the tips, and the gap between rack and back is checked with the animal standing.
At 140cm this needs a room with length in it as well as height: a hall, a landing, or the open middle of a big room. It reads from the side, where the stride and the thrown-back head make one long line, and it closes up from the front. Leave clear floor in front of the raised foreleg. Against a window the clear body fills with whatever is behind it; against a dark wall the silhouette hardens and every polished surface picks up a highlight of its own.
Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The pose is settled at order, from this full stride to a standing animal with the head level, and the body can also be made as a hind, with the rack left off. A smoke, a green, an amber or a pale rose can all be run through the material, and a frosted finish is offered where the polish is too bright. Lying and grazing deer can be ordered at this scale for a group, and other heights can be cut. It arrives in one crate standing, with the rack cased separately and seated on site; take the weight under the barrel and never by a leg. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A stag mid-stride with its head flung back belongs with our deer statues; three hooves down and one raised lead to our animal sculptures, and a clear stag in full stride joins our contemporary and modern sculptures.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
