All four hooves are down on this cast resin sculpture and the head is carried high on an upright neck, and what the horse stands on is not a smooth plinth but a mass of broken rock worked from the same clear material. The horse is taken to a smooth finish and the rock is left faceted and rough, so one object carries two entirely different surfaces with nothing separating them but the place where they meet. Both are colourless, which means the difference reads as texture and not as material.
A single material finished two ways is harder than two materials joined, because there is no seam to hide behind. The boundary has to be decided by hand on each piece: too crisp and the horse looks stuck onto the rock, too soft and the rock climbs the hooves. It is worked so the rough facets die out just under the fetlock, which is where the eye expects the ground to be. The smooth half is the slower half. Clear resin taken to a high finish shows every scratch left by the grade before it, so the flank and the barrel go through four or five abrasives and then a polish, while the rock is cut with a coarse tool and deliberately left where the tool put it. Legs this slender on a clear body are also unforgiving of any cloudiness, so they are the first thing checked and the commonest reason a casting is set aside.
At this height the horse belongs on a desk, a shelf or a chest rather than the floor, and it wants a spot where light can come from behind: a colourless animal in front of a window reads as an outline with a bright rim, which is the best view of it. On a dark surface the rock becomes the solid part and the horse appears to float above it. It suits an office or a study, where it can be looked at from a seated height and from one side rather than walked round.
Delivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. The rock can be made deeper or brought down to a low pad, and the horse can stand on a plain block instead if the geological version is not wanted. Tints run through the whole piece in amber, smoke or a soft green, and the horse alone can be tinted with the rock left clear. Frosting either half is offered. Scale is cut to order. It ships as one item in a fitted crate with nothing to assemble, and one person can lift it, taking it under the rock rather than by a leg. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear horse standing on a block of broken rock belongs with our horse sculptures; a lifted head and arched neck lead to our figurative sculptures, and one material finished two ways joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
