Clear Standing Hind with Suspended Leaves - 190cm, a clear resin sculpture with dried leaves and twigs embedded throughout, head tipped upward, on a plain white background.
Clear Standing Hind with Suspended Leaves - 190cm $16,33600
Description

This cast resin sculpture is a hind standing square with the neck held vertical and the muzzle tipped up and away. There are no antlers. Dried leaves and fine twigs are suspended through the body at every depth, gathered across the barrel, the shoulder and the haunch and running down into the legs and up the neck, so the clear animal reads as if an autumn had been caught inside it. The legs are slender and the whole figure is polished.

Leaves Suspended Through a Clear Body

Leaves inside a body this large behave like a scene rather than a decoration: there is enough depth of material for them to sit at a dozen distances from the surface, so the barrel holds near leaves that read sharply and far ones that soften, and the eye reads the animal as full of something instead of merely tinted. Each leaf and twig is placed as the body is built up, and the spray is kept open where the section narrows so the legs still read as clear. The neck is the structural passage: vertical, unsupported, and carrying the head at the top, so it is cut fuller than a hind's own and the extra is taken from the throat line where nothing shows.

At a hundred and ninety the muzzle is above the head of most people, so the room has to have height in it: a hall, a stair well, an atrium, anything double-height. Leave the ceiling clear above the muzzle and give it a plain wall, because the leaves are read against what is behind. Daylight from the side or a lamp low down fills the body; a light from overhead finds the back and the underside stays grey. It needs level floor and space to be walked round.

The Leaf, the Pose and Getting It Home

Whether it is standard or bespoke sets the build: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The leaves can be thinned, gathered into the barrel alone or left out for a plain clear body, and the resin itself can be coloured to amber, smoke or green. The head can be set at order anywhere from this raised muzzle to a level or grazing pose, and a full rack can be added to make a stag. It can be scaled up or down to order. It travels upright in a single crate, the legs braced, with nothing to assemble on arrival; take the weight under the barrel, never by a leg or the neck. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A hind full of suspended leaves belongs with our deer statues; a neck held vertical to the muzzle leads to our animal sculptures, and a clear figure as tall as a door joins our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
