This resin dog stands on all four feet with the weight even on each, the head level and forward, and a heavy tail rolled over one haunch. Its face is broad and wrinkled with the jowls hanging low. The body is colourless and polished with flakes of gold leaf caught through it, and it stands on a block of clear resin filled with the same leaf, so the glitter runs on from the animal into the block.
A standing animal has four separate places where it meets its base, and that is four times the difficulty of a seated one. All four feet have to bear at once: one fractionally high and the piece rocks, and on a polished block a rock is audible as well as visible. The soles are therefore ground on the finished animal against the finished block, in pairs and then all together, and the animal is bedded down only when all four touch. The rolled tail is the other slow passage. It sits hard against the haunch with a gap of a few millimetres behind it, and the inside of that gap has to take the same polish as the flank, which means narrow tools and a great deal of patience for a surface almost nobody will see.
A standing animal reads from the side, where all four legs and the line of the back are visible at once, so it wants a surface people pass along rather than face: a hall table, a mantel, the top of a low bookcase. It needs a genuinely level surface, because four feet find any tilt that three would absorb. Keep it away from a bright downlight, which flattens the jowls into one mass; light coming in low from one side is what gives the face its folds.
Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. Leaf can be run through the animal alone with the block left plain, or through the block alone with the animal left clear, which are two different objects. Silver and copper are made in place of gold. The block can be clear as here, tinted near black, or cut from white marble or a pale stone, and the animal is offered without a block at all. The body can also take an amber or grey tint. This is one animal, and a seated or a lying dog on the same kind of block makes a group of three with it. Greater scales are cut to order. Delivery is a single box, sleeved, and the animal needs nothing done to it; one hand will carry it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A dog standing square on a gold-leaf block belongs with our animal sculptures; a broad wrinkled face and a rolled tail lead to our figurative sculptures, and gold carried from animal to block joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
