The animal is caught in mid-stride with its head held high, and its rack of antlers, heavy and wide, sweeps back from the crown over the shoulders, so the head and the rack are well above anyone standing beside it. The body is optically clear and polished throughout, and the legs, which carry all of it, are long and slender.
At this height the animal is not looked at, it is looked UP at, and that changes which surfaces matter. The underside of the barrel, the inside of the thighs and the undersides of every antler tine are the parts a viewer actually sees, and on a table-sized animal those are the surfaces that get the least attention. Here they get the most: they take the same grade of polish as the back, which nobody will ever see, and the tines are dressed on their undersides first. The rack is the other constraint. It is heavy, it is wide, and it is made separately and seated at the skull, with the seat cut deeper than a table-sized animal's would be so that the weight is carried inside the join rather than at its lip.
At 217cm the room comes first: an atrium, the well of a staircase, a lofty hall or a large open floor, with clearance above the rack and space to walk right round. Measure the doorways and the ceiling before anything else. It is at its best with light from below or from the side, which is what fills the surfaces a standing viewer sees; a downlight lands on the back and leaves the whole underside of the animal grey.
Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. Rack weight and spread are set at order, and the animal can be made with a lighter head or as a hind with no rack. A tint through the resin is available in amber, smoke or a soft green, and a frosted finish is offered where the polish is too bright at this scale. Any height can be cut to order. Bases in stone, steel or timber can be added. It arrives in two crates, the body standing and the rack laid flat, and seats by hand on site; four people and a level floor are wanted to raise it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A walking stag under a towering rack belongs with our deer statues; an animal finished for a view from below leads to our animal sculptures, and clear resin polished beneath as well as on top joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
