Two towers rise in this acrylic sculpture, and neither is a column: each is built from small clear cubes stacked one on another with every cube set slightly proud of or behind its neighbours, so no face of either tower is flat. Across the top the two are joined by a bridge, a thin clear plate spanning the gap with a row of cubes stacked along it, so the whole piece reads as a gateway.
Stacking this high without a frame inside means every joint carries what is above it, so the cubes are bonded face to face rather than edge to edge and the offsets are kept small enough that each cube stays over the ones below. That is the structural half. The visual half pulls the other way: too little offset and the tower reads as a plain column with lines on it, too much and it reads as a mistake, so the offsets are distributed by eye rather than to a rule. Each cube also refracts what is behind it, and a tower of them turns a background into a field of small displaced images.
Two stacked towers and the bridge between them want to be seen against something worth refracting: a window, a run of books, a patterned wall. At 110cm they stand at standing eye level, so this belongs in a hall, a stair landing or a corner of a large room rather than on a table. Raking light picks the offsets out, each cube edge catching in turn; a flat wash from the front loses them. Leave room on both sides so the gap under the bridge reads as an opening.
In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. Tower height is open, and changing it alters the proportion of the gateway considerably. Cube size is open, and changing it changes the grain of the whole thing rather than just its detail. The bridge can be left off so the two towers stand free. A tint can be introduced into some or all of the cubes. The piece arrives assembled, since the bonds between the cubes are not site work, so the route in has to clear its full height. Two people are wanted, taken at the base. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Cubes set proud of their neighbours belong with our geometric sculptures; a bridge of clear cubes on a thin plate leads to our acrylic sculptures, and a gateway of refracted light for a stair landing joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
