A long console table built from boxes. The top is a shallow open box of clear acrylic, and under it a group of further boxes of different sizes is stacked and offset so no two sit flush. What holds the piece together visually is the colour: the faces are colourless and every cut edge reads a strong red, so the whole console appears as a red line drawing of itself standing in the air.
The effect comes from the material rather than from anything applied to it. The sheet is a fluorescent red, and what that does is entirely a matter of how it presents: a wide face looks almost colourless while a narrow cut edge looks solid red. That puts all of the cutting on show: a saw mark that would vanish on a clear edge sits in the middle of a red line here, so every edge on every box is flatted and flame-polished before assembly, and the boxes are solvent-welded corner by corner rather than butted. The stack is set out so the offsets look casual and the loads do not - each box sits on the one below across a full face, and the top box spans the two widest.
A console that reads as an outline rather than a mass belongs where a solid one would block the view: across a window in a hall, or against a pale wall where the red lines have something to sit on. It sits under the height of a standard console, so it works better with a mirror above it than with pictures. Its depth is generous for a hallway, and the offsets mean the underside is not a single void - it will take a pair of baskets in the wider openings.
Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. The edge colour is specified with the order, and the stack can be built to another arrangement or another length. A plain clear version without the fluorescent cast is available if the red is too active for the room. The boxes are welded up here and the console arrives as one piece, because the offsets are what make it stiff and a site-assembled version would not hold square. A console this long will not turn on a half-landing, so check the route first. Two people are wanted, lifting under the widest boxes rather than by the top. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A red line drawing of stacked boxes belongs with our art furniture; colourless faces with glowing edges connect with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and an outline for a window in a hall joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
