Clear Slender Stag Cast Resin Sculpture - 112cm, head raised with antlers swept back, standing on all four legs against a plain light background.
Clear Slender Stag Cast Resin Sculpture - 112cm $5,67000
Description

A tall slender stag in cast resin, this sculpture stands with its weight even on all four legs, its head raised and its antlers swept back over the shoulders rather than up. The animal is optically clear resin from the hooves up. It is sold and priced as a single stag: a second one, turned to face the first, is a separate order and makes a quite different arrangement, because the two heads then close a space between them that neither closes alone.

One Animal, and What a Second One Does

A slender animal is the hard version of this casting. The legs are thin and long, so they carry the whole weight through a small section, and in clear resin a leg thickened for strength shows as a heavier column against its neighbours. Each leg therefore swells gradually from the hoof toward the haunch, and the four are finished as a set, which is what keeps them matching. Sweeping the antlers back rather than up moves their weight behind the skull, so the joint between antler and head is in tension rather than compression and is pinned as well as bonded. The neck is polished all round, since a raised head is seen from underneath.

At this height the stag stands on the floor and reads across a room, which is what makes the second one worth thinking about: one animal is an object in a corner, two facing each other make an entrance out of the space between them. Either way it wants a hard floor and clear space behind the head. A dark wall gives the clear body an outline; a pale one leaves only the antlers and the legs.

Antler Sweep, Body Tint and Ordering the Second

Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. Antler sweep is set at order, from this backward carry to a full upright rack, and the head can be turned to any angle - which is the setting to give if a pair is wanted, since two identical animals face each other less convincingly than two turned heads. A tint runs through the body in a smoke, an amber or a green. Size is cut to order. Each animal travels as one piece with the antlers cased separately, and where two are ordered together they are scheduled as one lot so the pair matches. Each is a two-person lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A slender stag with its antlers swept back belongs with our deer statues; a head raised high on a long neck leads to our figurative sculptures, and a body clear from the hooves up joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
