Clear Slab Black Rock Base Cast Resin High Table, 220cm, with frozen-textured clear resin top and dark rock accent on two rough black pedestals, plain white background.
Clear Slab Black Rock Base Cast Resin High Table - 220cm $14,04100
Description

The top is a thick slab of clear resin, its surface and edges left in a rough frozen texture with irregular broken margins, and a small dark peaked rock form stands proud of the surface near one end. It rests on two rough black pedestals, each wider at the top than at the foot, so the slab appears to bridge two outcrops.

A Frozen Slab Carried on Two Rough Pedestals

The slab is poured thick and the frozen texture is worked into the mould, so the broken margins are a cast edge rather than a fracture. The peak stands proud of the surface rather than resting on it, and the join round its base is worked back until no seam shows. The pedestals are built up in fibreglass and finished rough and matt black, so they take no reflection at all and the slab above them carries all the light. Each pedestal is built to the slab it stands under and finished to it.

Raised to standing height, this high table belongs in a bar, a showroom, a lobby or a room for parties, where guests gather round it on their feet instead of sitting down to a meal. The peak stands proud of the surface near one end, so keep that end clear and use the long run for glasses or for a display.

The Peak, the Pedestals, and the High Table Format

Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. Most of it is the two rock pedestals. There are three open questions. The peak can be set at either end or left out altogether, the pedestals can be supplied in a paler stone finish, and the slab can be tinted rather than left clear. The slab length and the overall height are open figures. Once the order is placed as one, the break along the slab margin is carried through it. Packing keeps the slab margins and the pedestal tops off the crate walls, and it is a four-person carry. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Black fibreglass outcrops under a frozen slab tie this high table to our fibreglass sculptures; it stands as a working table in our art furniture, and its raw contrast of rock and ice suits our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
