Clear Shell Resin Gas-Lift Bar Stool - 100cm
Clear Shell Resin Gas-Lift Bar Stool - 100cm $2,36000
Description

This bar stool keeps its shell entirely colourless. Its back stands squared and upright with rounded corners, curving forward into a seat that ends in a full rolled lip, and the resin is clear enough that the round plate fixing it to the column can be seen straight through the seat. Where the lip is thickest a faint green creeps into the edge. Underneath, a mirror-chrome column rises from a broad disc, with a looped foot ring partway up and a slim lever under the seat for the gas lift.

A Colourless Shell That Hides Nothing Beneath It

Without a tint, the shell is drawn entirely in reflections. Its edges and the curve where back meets seat pick up bright white lines, while the broad faces between them simply let the room through, slightly bent wherever the resin swells. The thick front lip is where the material declares itself, turning a pale glassy green as the depth builds, as the edge of a sheet of glass does. With nothing hidden, the fixing plate and the top of the column read through the seat as part of the design, and the polished chrome below doubles every glint.

At 100cm the stool meets a kitchen worktop or a bar top at a comfortable height, and because it is clear it barely interrupts the room behind it. That makes it a good answer where a run of solid stools would wall off a small kitchen or block the view to a window. It suits marble, pale stone and white lacquer, and stays quiet beside strong colour elsewhere in a room. Indoor use only.

Clear or Tinted, the Column, and Getting It Home

A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The shell can stay water-clear or be tinted, either evenly from crest to lip or in a grade that keeps the crest clear. The column and disc base are polished chrome as standard and can be brushed stainless steel or matt black instead, with or without the foot ring. Gas lifts are made for bar and for counter heights. Upright in its own crate, built and ready to sit on, it goes from the van to the kitchen in one person's arms. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Our art furniture holds more seating like this water-clear stool, our resin sculptures more colourless castings, and our metal sculptures more polished chrome.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
