This cast resin and timber plinth is a tall narrow block of clear resin holding an upright slice of timber over its full height. The long faces of the section are planed flat to show the grain and a single knot, while both edges are left dark and barked, so the block reads as a slice taken through a tree and stopped in the middle of the cut.
The section is set upright in the mould and the resin is poured round it in stages, so nothing floats out of position and no lift line shows between one stage and the next. The long faces of the timber are planed before it goes in, and the barked edges are left exactly as they came off the tree, with the resin closing against the bark without a gap. The cut end at the top is brought flush with the block rather than left standing proud of it.
At 87cm this is a plinth rather than a table: it stands at standing height and is made to carry a single object at eye level in a hall, a landing or a gallery corner. Light from the side is what brings the bark edges up through the clear resin, and it wants to be walked past rather than sat beside.
Whether it is standard or bespoke sets the build: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. Most of it is the timber section. Three things can change. The species of the timber is yours to name, the block can be tinted rather than clear, and the section can be set on the diagonal instead of upright. The block span and the overall height are named by you. When the figure in the timber section has to agree across pieces, they are made in one run. Packing keeps the cut end of the timber and the block arris off the crate walls, and it is a two-person carry. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A slice of barked timber standing in clear resin gives our art furniture a display plinth; the set log suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a gallery corner among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
