This cast resin stool has branches and birds set in its clear body. A stool whose structure is a squared frame: four legs rising to meet a shallow domed top, joined near the floor by a stretcher that runs between them. The whole thing is colourless and water-clear. Held inside the legs and the stretcher are dark branches, thin and forked, and among them small gold-brown birds, two of them clearly legible on the legs nearest the front.
The inclusions are the object and their placing is the work. Dark branches, thin and forked, stand inside the legs and inside the stretcher, running roughly with the direction of each member so they read as growing rather than as trapped. Among them are small gold-brown birds, and because the material is water-clear you see them from both sides at once and from any angle: two are legible on the front legs, and moving round the stool brings others into line. The domed top above is left entirely plain, which is what allows the legs to be looked into. No two carry the same arrangement.
At 65cm it is made for a place beside a high-armed chair, or as a stand in a hall. The inclusions are small, so the piece needs to be within a pace or two for the birds to read at all, and it should be seen from more than one side. A pale floor and light from behind are what bring the branches out. Indoors only.
Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. The set inclusions are why. Three of its features are open. What goes into the legs is the first decision, from these branches and birds through to branches alone, or leaf, or nothing at all, which leaves a plain clear frame. The dome above is second: plain as here, or carrying inclusions of its own. And the stretcher, which can run near the floor as here or be raised. Diameter and height are made to the figures you give. The placing of the birds is consistent within an order and not between orders. Its crate is shaped round the domed top and the stretcher, and two people lift it from there. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Birds and branches held in clear legs bring this stool into our organic sculptures; the water-clear resin goes with our resin sculptures, and the stool itself with our art furniture.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
