Description

This low, round disc of high-clarity resin holds a drift of small seeds scattered across its face, as though a handful had been thrown down and stopped mid-scatter. They crowd together in loose clusters towards one side and thin out to a few strays nearer the rim, leaving a broad margin of empty clear resin around them. Each seed is a little glossy oval, mottled brown with olive and khaki and traced along its edge with a fine pale seam.

A Handful of Seeds Caught in a Clear Round

The disc is high-clarity resin, deep and glassy, with a top polished to a soft shine and a rim finished as a crisp, bright edge all the way round. Where the clusters are thickest the seeds overlap one another, and each keeps its natural sheen and its fine marbling, from pale khaki through olive to a deep brown. Seen from above, the scatter reads like a small map of islands in still water, with open resin all round it. No two discs scatter their seeds in quite the same pattern.

Low and round, it is meant to be seen from above, so a coffee table, a desk or a side table is a natural home, where the seeds can be studied close up and the disc lifted and turned. A broad windowsill or a low shelf suits it too. A pale surface underneath keeps the resin bright and the seeds crisp, while a window to one side brings up their gloss. Indoor use only.

The Seed Disc, Commissions and Shipping

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. Each order brings one disc, sold on its own. As a bespoke commission it can hold seeds of another kind, a single large seed head, or a denser scatter that runs right out to the rim, and the disc can be cut square or made at another size. The seeds can also be drawn into one tight cluster at the centre. It is boxed flat with padding around its rim, and once unwrapped it is ready for the table. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
