This dining table has a thick clear top, drawn to an irregular oval and worked across its whole face into concentric ripples that spread from several points, like rain falling on standing water. It rests on black legs shaped as sweeping blades that arc outward from under the top and meet the floor on narrow feet, and it is made at two lengths.
The thickness of the top is what makes the ripple work: at that section the pattern sits within the material rather than on it, so a hand run across the top feels a relief while a glass set anywhere on it still stands square. The ripples spread from more than one centre, so they cross and interfere rather than running as neat rings, and the outline is irregular enough that no two stretches of edge are alike. The legs are the opposite of the top: opaque, matte black, and drawn in long single curves with no bracket or rail between them.
In both sizes the legs sit well in from the ends so no chair meets one. The clear top over black legs means the table reads as a sheet of water on a dark frame, and it shows whatever floor it stands on, which is worth using over boards or a patterned tile. It wants clearance on both long sides. The ripple is the reason to own it, so a light along the length does more than a single pendant over the middle. Indoor use only.
Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. Both sizes carry the same thick top and the same leg form, but the ripple reads differently on each and that is worth knowing. On the long top there is room for four or five ripple centres and the pattern reads as weather across a lake; on the short one there are two or three and it reads as a single disturbance. Neither is a scaled copy of the other, since the pattern is set out afresh to each plan. Ripple depth is specified shallower for a calmer top, and a tinted version is offered though the pattern loses definition as the colour deepens. Leg finish is black as standard with a pale stone tone offered. The top travels flat and fully supported, apart from the legs, and the long table is a four-person placement, with the legs bolted through the underside before the table is turned upright. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Black fibreglass blades under a rippled clear top connect this dining table with our fibreglass sculptures; for dining it belongs to our art furniture, and the rippled casting to our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
