Clear Rippled Water Drum Cast Resin Low Table (60cm) by Giant Sculptures, round form with rippled sides and crested rim, on a plain white background.
Clear Rippled Water Drum Cast Resin Low Table - 60cm $9,38300
Description

The drum is clear resin and its whole side is worked into heavy vertical ripples, as though water had been stopped mid-flow, and the rim is left broken and crested where the material ran out. The top face is frozen like the surface of a pool, so from a standing position the piece reads as water and from a seated one as a solid block.

Water Read as a Solid, Round the Whole Side

The ripple is modelled into the mould face, so it runs unbroken round the whole circumference instead of stopping where the mould parts, and the crested rim is a cast edge rather than a broken one. Every face is polished, the underside included, because a wide clear drum standing at this height shows the floor through its own body and any dull patch beneath it reads as a shadow inside the piece. The finishing is done by hand from a coarse grade through to a mirror, and the top is worked last so the flat of it is not lost while the side is still being brought up.

Its broad top gives a proper surface in front of a seat, and the crest of the rim stands proud of the flat face, so a tray or a bowl set down there is held inside a low ring of broken water. The ripple reads best with light coming across it from one side, and on a dark floor the whole drum lifts away from the ground.

The Rim, the Ripple, and What Goes On Top

Where the piece is standard the build is 3–4 weeks, and where it is bespoke 5–6. At order, three things are open. The depth of the ripple is yours to set, a tint can be run through the whole drum, and the top face is dished instead of left flat where the piece is to hold something round. Set the top diameter and the overall height yourself. Where two or more are wanted, the run of the ripples round the side is held the same across the group. Crated with the crested rim and the rippled side protected, it is a two-person lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

This low table, a clear drum rippled like water stopped mid-flow, sits with our art furniture; its broken crest also suits our contemporary and modern sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
