Its top is a heavy clear resin slab rippled all over like moving water, with an edge left broken and irregular rather than trimmed straight, and two round wells are sunk into it: one has a square recess in its floor, and the other holds a polished steel disc pierced at its centre. It rests on two supports that have nothing in common: at one end a mirror-polished stainless column spreading into a lobed foot, at the other a rough black form that reads as a boulder. The slab does the work of tying them together.
The ripple is worked into the mould face rather than cut afterwards, which is why it runs unbroken from end to end instead of stopping at a line, and the broken edge is a cast edge, not a fracture. The two wells are sunk into the top and their inserts sit down inside them. The stainless pedestal is polished to a mirror on every face, including the underside of the lobes, because the slab above it is clear and the reflection shows through. The black form is built up in fibreglass and left matt, so it takes no reflection at all.
Used for dining or for meetings, it wants enough floor round it for people to walk past every chair. The two supports are not symmetrical, so it is worth deciding which end faces the room before it is set down. Light from above is what the rippled top is for, and a position under a pendant or a rooflight gives it more than a wall does.
From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. Three things about it are not fixed. The slab can be supplied tinted rather than colourless, the two wells can be left out or their inserts changed, and either pedestal can be replaced with a second of the other kind. You name the slab length and the overall height. Order more than one together and how the ripple runs across the slab is matched across them. Crated with the broken slab edge and the polished pedestal protected, it is a four-person lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A black fibreglass boulder under one end answers to our fibreglass sculptures, a mirror steel column under the opposite end ranks it among our metal sculptures, and the long rippled slab they hold up is listed in our art furniture.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
