A thick slab of clear acrylic, worked into a close horizontal ripple and rolled over along the front edge, set high on a single dark metal trestle. Both ends of the slab overhang the trestle by a good margin, which is what gives the piece its look of a plank set down rather than a table built up.
The ripple runs across the slab rather than along it, which is the harder of the two directions to hold. A horizontal texture across this panel has to keep its rhythm over the whole span or the eye picks up the moment it drifts, and there is nowhere on a clear body for a correction to hide. The front arris is then rolled to a soft radius, so the rippled face resolves into a smooth lip exactly where a hand or a leg meets it, and the two treatments have to meet cleanly along a line that runs the full length. The trestle is finished in a dark matt that kills reflection, which is a decision about the acrylic rather than about the metal: a bright support would double itself inside the slab and confuse the texture. No two panels ripple alike, because the tooling advances by hand.
The seat sits above ordinary bench height, so this reads more naturally as a surface than as seating: a window bay, the long wall of a hall, the foot of a bed. Give it a plain floor. A rippled clear body takes its pattern from the floor under it, and a busy rug turns the texture into noise, whereas a single-tone floor lets the ripple carry its own shadow. Leave the overhangs clear at both ends rather than backing it into a corner, since the cantilever is most of the effect.
In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The trestle can be set out toward the ends for a more even span, or kept central as it is. The panel is also offered thinner, which changes the price and the way the ripple reads. Colour can be introduced into the casting, and the trestle can be finished in a polished metal if you would rather have the reflection than lose it. The seat and its trestle come in separate parts that bolt up through the top rail, so a normal doorway is enough. Two people are wanted for the slab. The trestle is a one-person lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A ripple read across the grain belongs with our acrylic sculptures; a single dark trestle under a rolled edge leads to our metal sculptures, and a high seat for a window bay joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
