Clear Rippled-Fleece Ram Resin Sculpture - 90cm
Clear Rippled-Fleece Ram Resin Sculpture - 90cm $8,64100
Description

A ram stands square in clear resin with his head up, a thick ridged horn coiling round beside each side of the face. His coat is long and shaggy: deep grooves sweep back from the shoulder along the flanks and fall in a heavy fringe below the belly, while the face and the legs beneath it are kept smooth and polished.

Coiled Horns Above a Long, Shaggy Fleece

What marks the ram out is the pair of horns and the length of his coat. Each horn coils beside the face in a ridged spiral, and every ridge is dressed on its own so the coil keeps an even pitch to the tip, which is slow work in a material that shows any slip. The coat is cut deeper than on a short-fleeced animal and left to hang: the grooves sweeping along his flanks turn downward beneath the belly into a heavy fringe. Each groove is then polished along its whole length, because clear resin keeps every tool mark in view.

At 90cm he is a floor piece, and he wants space around him: an entrance hall, a conservatory, the turn of a broad stair or an open showroom, anywhere visitors can circle him. His horns give him a front, so face him toward the way people arrive. Clear resin borrows the colour of its surroundings, so his outline shows best against a plain wall or an open floor, and light from the side picks out every ridge of the horns.

The Horns, the Coat and Delivery

It takes 3–4 weeks to make as standard, and 5–6 weeks to make bespoke. The horns can be coiled wider or tighter, and the coat can be cut close for a sleeker animal. Clear is the standard finish, and the resin can also be tinted grey or amber, or made milky white to come nearest to real wool. He can be joined by a ewe or a lamb made to order. He is crated upright with the legs braced and the horns padded, and two people are needed to set him in place. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A ram with coiled horns belongs with our animal sculptures; a long coat falling into a fringe leads to our wildlife sculptures, and a clear casting polished groove by groove joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
