A hornless ewe stands square on all four legs in this clear resin sculpture, her head raised and looking straight ahead. Her face, ears and legs are modelled smooth, and everything the fleece covers is worked in long rippling grooves that run back along the body and hang in loose waves at the belly, so the wool reads like water caught mid-flow.
The ewe is naturalistic in her proportions and not at all in her surface, and the contrast is what makes the piece work. The head and legs are modelled true and kept smooth, so the animal is recognisable at a distance. Everything the fleece covers is then cut into long grooves that ripple in overlapping runs, following the way wool grows: down the flanks, back from the shoulder and round over the rump. Because the material is colourless, each ripple returns a different amount of the room, so the fleece reads as a moving field of light rather than as a texture.
This is a floor piece at close to life size, and no surface suits it. At 80cm she stands about the height of a large dog, so she belongs in a hall, a garden room, a wide landing or on a showroom floor where people can walk round her. Being colourless she takes almost no visual weight, which is why she can stand in a room that is already full without adding to it. Give her a plain floor and something plain behind: against a busy wall the ripples stop reading and her outline goes with them. Light from one side is what lifts the fleece. Indoor use only.
A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. She is sold singly, and a ram or a lamb can be made to order to stand with her. Colourless is standard, and a smoke grey, an amber or a milky white can be run through the resin instead, the white coming closest to real fleece at the cost of the light the clear casting catches. The ripples can be cut deeper for a bolder animal or finer for something closer to a coat. She travels standing in one crate with her legs braced, and moving her into place takes two people. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A clear ewe standing square belongs with our animal sculptures; a fleece cut in long ripples leads to our figurative sculptures, and colourless resin that holds the room joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
