A colourless cast frame and a seat upholstered in matt dark brown leather make up this armchair. The back rises as one clear panel, its top edge dipping between two upright horns, with a rounded opening cut through it on either side of a central spine. The seat is a deep cushion that sweeps up at each side into a broad arm, flaring outward to a soft rounded tip, so seat and arms read as one upholstered shape set into the clear frame on four slim legs.
Two materials meet in this chair and each keeps its own nature. Its frame is a single colourless casting, the horned back and its two openings flowing down into four slim legs, and it has the depth and clarity of thick ice, so whatever stands behind it stays in view. The upholstery is its counterweight: a soft, matt leather in deep chocolate brown that swallows light instead of returning it. It covers the seat and rises at either side into an arm that broadens and rolls outward as it climbs, and from straight ahead the chair opens like a tulip. Seen against the clear back, the brown reads almost black, so the chair sits on a dark, settled base while everything above it stays airy.
At 83cm to the tips of its horns it suits a writing desk or a dressing table, or a place at the end of a dining run, its seat pitched for sitting upright. The arms are broad and flare out past the frame, so it wants space at both sides rather than a tight row of chairs, and they will not slip under a table top. The clear back stops it crowding a compact room and the dark leather anchors it, and a plain wall behind it keeps the two openings clean. Indoors only.
Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The upholstery carries most of the choices. Leather runs from this dark brown to black, cream, tan or a bottle green, left plain or stitched into panels. The arms can stay as broad as these or be drawn in to a slim rail that follows the seat, and the back can keep both openings, be cut with one tall opening instead, or be closed into a solid screen. Seat height and depth follow your own measurements. It comes ready to sit on, upholstered and crated whole, and needs only one person to bring it indoors. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Seating built around a sculpted cast frame is gathered in our art furniture; the colourless casting connects it with our resin sculptures, and, being made for interiors, it appears in our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
