Clear Rabbit with Forepaws Planted Resin Sculpture - 49cm
Clear Rabbit with Forepaws Planted Resin Sculpture - 49cm $3,10400
Description

This cast resin rabbit sits up on its haunches with its forepaws planted straight down in front of it, and both ears stand tall above a broad, round-cheeked face. Everything is clear and polished, with no fur worked into the body, so the piece is read through its outline and the light running over it.

A Rabbit Sitting Square on Its Forepaws

The ears are the thinnest parts of the casting, and any cloud in a clear ear shows at once against the light. The body is one smooth volume, finished through fine grades so no flat spot breaks the reflection. The forepaws carry the front of the figure, so they are kept full in section where they meet the ground. The cheeks and the brow are kept full, which gives the face its round, settled look, and no fur is cut into the surface, so the light runs over it in long unbroken curves.

At 49cm it suits a low table, a deep windowsill or the floor beside a chair, where it is seen at its own height. A busy background works in its favour: books or a patterned wall show through the clear body. On a plain surface it can almost vanish. A pair can face each other across a hearth.

Tint, Finish and Getting It Home

As standard the build runs 3–4 weeks, and as a bespoke commission 5–6. The body can carry a tint of the buyer's choosing, and its polish can give way to a frost. The ears can stand straighter or lie back along the head, and the face can be made rounder or longer. Its forepaws can be brought together at the chest instead. Scale is cut to order. A fitted crate protects the ears in transit, and one person can lift it, holding it under the haunches. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear rabbit sitting on its planted forepaws belongs with our rabbit and hare statues; a round-cheeked face under tall ears leads to our figurative sculptures, and polished colourless resin joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
