Clear Mountain Ridge Base Acrylic Coffee Table (125cm) by Giant Sculptures, clear acrylic top with irregular edge atop ridge-profile sheets on steel rods, plain white background.
Clear Mountain Ridge Base Acrylic Coffee Table - 125cm $7,02000
Description

This coffee table has a large clear acrylic top, cut to an irregular, coastline edge along two sides and left straight along the other two, and it rests on a base of clear sheets standing on edge and threaded on two stainless rods. Each sheet is cut to a different ridge profile, a rising slope, a summit, a shoulder falling away, so from the side the base reads as one range of hills seen through itself, rising under one side of the top and falling away beneath it.

A Range of Hills Read Through Its Own Layers

A stack of profiles only works if the profiles are related, so the sequence is drawn as one landscape and then divided into sheets rather than each sheet being cut on its own. The cut edges are the whole surface of this piece and they are polished, not sawn: a sawn edge reads matt and stops the light where a polished one carries the profile as a bright line. The two rods pass through every sheet at the same two points, so the spacing between them is set by collars rather than judged by hand, and the sheets are all the same thickness so the rhythm of the stack stays even from front to back.

Low and broad, this belongs at the heart of a seating group, where the range of hills under the top is seen through it from every seat. Against a plain pale floor the profiles separate; against a busy rug they collapse into each other. Side light catches the polished edge of every sheet, and the irregular edge of the top wants space round it rather than a wall.

Sheet Count, Profile Depth and Standing It Square

Expect 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks where the commission is bespoke. Sheet count is set at order and changes the piece more than its size does: a dozen sheets read as a solid range, five as a set of separate profiles. The profile itself can be taken from a real skyline you name, or left to us. A tint is offered through the sheets in a smoke, a blue or a green, and the rods come in this stainless finish, a black or a brass. Width and height are cut to order. It travels crated with the outer sheets faced, since a cut edge is the part that shows a scuff. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A range of hills cut into clear sheets belongs with our acrylic sculptures; two stainless rods threading the base lead to our stainless steel sculptures, and a table to gather chairs and sofas round joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
