A colourless disc of clear resin, turned by machine to a shallow dish on both faces, so it is fullest at the rim and finest at the middle. A polished stainless steel sphere sits at the centre of the hollow. It stands upright on a dark rectangular base, held by a slim pin, and the base comes with it.
This dish is machined rather than cast to shape, and the difference is the whole object. A cast curve is as good as the tool and the shrinkage allow, which on a clear body of this span means a surface that is very nearly true and reads, at the edges of vision, as very nearly true. Turning it on a machine gives a curve with no local error in it anywhere, and a transparent body is the one material where that is visible: the reflection of a straight line crossing the face stays straight all the way over. Cast, it would ripple. The steel sphere is there to prove it, since a mirrored ball sitting at the focus shows any distortion in the curve around it at once.
At 65cm it is a piece to be met square and at eye level, which makes a console, a sideboard or a hall table right and anything low wrong. What is in front of it arrives twice, once through the dish and once off the sphere, so a clear approach matters more than a clear background. Keep a strong point source off it if you can: the polished steel returns one hard, and it lands dead centre, which is where the eye already is.
In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. The dish is turned deeper or nearly flat, the sphere is made in brass or in stone, and the body is tinted. A frosted face is offered and loses the whole argument, since frosting hides the trueness of the curve that the machining is for. The disc is also made at other diameters. It goes on edge in a single case with both faces boarded and the sphere boxed apart, and the disc is raised by its rim. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
The ball at the centre is stainless steel sculpture; the dished body around it is resin sculpture; and a piece this reflective needs indoor sculpture.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
