This cast resin sculpture is the front half of a horse and no more: the head is carried right down towards the ground, the neck arches over, the mane lifts along its crest, and the two forelegs reach forward and down. Behind the shoulder the animal simply ends on a cut. It is optically clear throughout and stands on a thin plate of stainless steel, so the whole mass appears to be balanced on the reaching legs.
Everything depends on where the cut falls and what the cut face does. Too far back and the piece reads as a broken horse; too far forward and the gesture of the neck has nothing behind it to come from. The line is taken just behind the shoulder, following the muscle rather than crossing it square, and the face itself is left as a worked plane rather than polished to a mirror, because a mirrored cut turns into a bright blank shape and pulls the eye away from the head. The crest is the other slow passage, and a crest is not a mane: the strands stand away from the neck rather than lying over it, so each is worked free on both faces and at this length that is the slowest part of the animal. The steel plate is machined flat and the resin foot is bedded onto it.
The view is from the side. Only from there do the arc of the neck and the reach of the legs read as one movement, so give it a wall to run along or the length of a room, never a corner. It is a floor piece. Set it against daylight and the whole clear mass fills, so the cut face reads bright while the lowered head stays in shadow. Leave room in front for the legs to reach into and do not push the head against a wall; the space the head is reaching towards is part of the piece.
Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. Where the cut falls is set at order, from this shoulder line back to the full animal. The plate comes in this stainless steel, a black granite or a dark timber, and a deeper plinth is available where more height is wanted. A tint runs through the resin in amber, smoke or a soft green, and frosting is offered instead of the gloss. Any scale is cut to order. It travels in a fitted crate with the plate packed separately and goes together on site with no tools; two people should lift it, taking the weight under the chest and never by the head or a leg. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Horse forequarters with the head carried low belong with our horse sculptures; a neck arching over reaching legs leads to our animal sculptures, and clear resin on a steel plate joins our resin sculptures.

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
