Clear Lattice-Cut Footed Dish Resin Sculpture, 112cm, with diamond-cut bowl, ruffled rim, fluted stem, and scalloped foot, shown on a plain white background.
Clear Lattice-Cut Footed Dish Resin Sculpture - 112cm $7,96600
Description

The bowl is cut in a fine diamond lattice under a rim that opens into ruffled, leaf-like scallops, on a turned stem with a fluted knop near its foot, above a wide scalloped foot. Colourless throughout, so the lattice reads as a net of fine lines and the rim as a run of bright points. The wide scalloped foot is part of the dish itself, so nothing else goes beneath it.

A Lattice Instead of a Single Bright Spot

Every cut in the lattice gives back a point of light of its own, so the bowl has a surface to read at any angle. Smooth, a dish this wide would carry one bright point that slides away as you walk past it, and the diamond cutting is what replaces that with something the eye can hold. Cutting a clear body this finely is what gives a plain bowl its whole surface: each facet returns its own spark, where a smooth dish of the same size would return one highlight and nothing else. Polished over the bowl, the stem and the foot alike, with the rim left sharp.

Give it an entrance or a wide landing with room around it. A dark wall behind it, or a colourless dish against a pale ground keeps no edge at all. Light from above lights every facet at once; light from the side finds half of them. The profile carries; the lattice arrives at about two paces.

A Shallower Bowl, and a Pallet at the Door

Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. Say the word and the bowl is cut shallower, the lattice is cut finer or coarser, or colour goes into the body. Change the bowl and the stem is redrawn beneath it, since the two are drawn against each other rather than separately. How deep the bowl is cut is settled before casting. It ships on a pallet in one case and is placed as it comes out. Four people and a trolley, hands at the foot and not the bowl. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear footed dish on a turned, knopped stem stands in our indoor sculptures; its cut-glass manner suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and its clear body belongs with our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
