An acrylic sculpture built as a clear column, square in section, carrying an ink-wash landscape inside it rather than on it: pines on a bluff, a cliff falling away below them, a second stand of pines on a ledge to the left, and mist banked behind and above. The picture is seen through the clear acrylic in front of it, so it reads as a scene held within the column rather than printed on its face, worked in grey and black ink with a soft blue in the mist.
The whole point of a piece like this is the clear body in front of the picture. A print on a face sits flat against the room; set inside a column, the same ink is seen through clear material, and the column's edges and faces frame it like a window. That only works if the acrylic is optically clean: a body this deep magnifies any inclusion, and a single bubble in front of the image is more distracting than one behind it. The faces are polished to the same clarity, so the column itself almost disappears and the landscape seems to float within it.
At 72cm this is an upright object for a sideboard or a broad console, placed so the image is met at eye level. It needs light from the front, which is unusual in this material: backlighting washes the ink out and reduces the picture to a grey smear, while frontal light holds the tones apart. Give it a plain pale surround. The picture is monochrome and a coloured wall behind it tints the whole column. It should also be somewhere steady, since it is meant to be looked at rather than handled.
Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. The image is chosen at order from the range available, and the column can also be supplied clear with no picture in it at all. Section and height are drawn per piece, so a wider column with more depth behind the image or a slimmer, higher one both come from this design, and a landscape format is made for a piece meant to sit rather than stand. It is lifted by the body with both hands, one of them under the foot, and never from the top. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
An ink landscape of pines and mist held within a clear column, this column stands among our indoor sculptures, our metal sculptures and our acrylic sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
