This three-column stool is a mass of clear resin worked as ice: a rough-textured irregular top is carried on three heavy irregular columns that rise out of a continuous rough base, with open voids between them. Nothing on it is smooth. The texture runs over the top, down every column and round the base without a polished face anywhere, so the whole piece refracts rather than reflects.
The ice texture is modelled before the mould is taken, so it belongs to this piece and no two castings carry it in the same places. Casting round three voids of that size is what sets the schedule: the material has to stay even where it narrows between the columns, and every void has to be finished from both sides. Nothing is polished afterwards, which sounds like less work and is not: an even rough face across a whole piece is harder to hold than a mirror on one.
At 45cm this is a stool at seat height and takes an adult, and it works equally as a low table beside a chair. The voids are half of it, so put it where light can come through them from behind or from one side, and against a dark plinth it will read as a solid block instead. It takes a tray or a lamp on the flat top without either sitting proud of the rim.
Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. At order, three things are open. The texture can be worked coarser or eased back, a tint can be put through the resin, and the top is made dished instead of flat where the piece is to hold something round. Every top size and overall height is made to order. Order more than one together and the pattern of the ice texture is matched across them. Crated with the rough top rim and the three column tops protected, it is a one-person lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A mass of ice opened into three columns gives our art furniture a stool; the rough-cast form suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a light-backed corner among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
