Clear Hexagonal Hollow Resin Stool - 45cm by Giant Sculptures, rippled swirl texture on clear resin faces, resting directly on the floor against a plain white background.
Clear Hexagonal Hollow Resin Stool - 45cm $3,17300
Description

A six-sided stool of clear hollow resin with no tint anywhere in it: it rests directly on the floor on one of its faces, with no base under it. Swirls ripple across every face like ice under moving water, and the whole stool takes on the colour of the room it stands in, from the floor beneath it to whatever is set beside it.

Colourless Resin Worked Into Rippled Faces

Without a tint the texture does all the work. Every face carries a swirl worked into the resin and polished over, and in a colourless casting that swirl is all the eye has to hold on to, so light catching the ridges draws rings across each face. Because the body is hollow and clear, the swirls on the back faces can be seen behind those on the front, and the stool takes on the look of a lantern with nothing lit inside it. The wall is sturdy enough for a seated adult.

A clear stool disappears into almost any room, which is the reason to choose it: beside a pale sofa, at a dressing table, or in a bathroom or a bright hall where a coloured piece would compete. Set it where daylight falls across it and the swirls come alive; against a dark floor the rings stand out most sharply. It works as a seat, or as a small table for a lamp or a stack of books.

Clear Throughout, the Swirl, and Delivery

From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. Left colourless as described, it can instead take a faint smoke or a pale grey through the whole wall, and the swirled faces can be exchanged for plain polished ones. The seat height is open to your figure. Amber and blue versions exist too, each graded up from the foot and each a separate stool. It is packed standing in its own crate, and two people lift it with their hands beneath the base. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Clear pieces you can sit on or set a lamp beside continue in our art furniture, with more colourless castings among our resin sculptures and more clean-lined forms in our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
