This cast resin sculpture takes its weight evenly on four legs and its neck goes straight up from the shoulder rather than forward. At the top of it the head tips back so the muzzle points up and away. The rack is light and open, two beams with a few tines and no great spread, and the ears sit out level below it. The legs are the thinnest part of the piece by a long way, and the body is clear right through, taken to one grade of polish from muzzle to hoof.
A vertical neck is the hardest line to get right on a deer, because nothing about it invites the eye to make allowances: any lean at all reads as a fault rather than as a pose, and it has to be true from the front and from both sides at once. It is set with the animal standing on a flat bench and sighted along, then cut back a little at a time from the throat, where the section can be lost without the outline moving. The legs are the other constraint. They carry the whole animal on four points of no great area, so each is thickened where it meets the body and drawn out below that, and the four are brought to length together rather than one at a time. The polish goes last, in five grades, and the underside of the barrel takes as long as the back.
At eighty-eight centimetres the animal is met at about waist height, so it sits well on the floor beside a chair, on a low chest, or on a hearth with clear space above the head. Leave room over the muzzle: the pose runs upward and a shelf close over it stops the whole line. It is at its best with a window to one side, where the clear body picks up the daylight and the legs almost disappear. On a pale floor the outline softens; on a dark one the animal is drawn in light.
Time separates the two: a bespoke commission takes 5–6 weeks, a standard piece 3–4. The angle of the head is chosen with the order, whether this raised muzzle, a level gaze or a grazing pose, and the body can be cut as a hind without antlers. The resin will take a pale rose, an amber, a green or a smoke, and a frosted finish is offered in place of the polish. Other heights can be cut to order, so a group can be set together at different scales. It travels standing in a fitted crate with the legs braced and nothing to assemble; take the weight under the barrel and never by a leg or the rack. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A stag holding its head high with the nose raised belongs with our deer statues; a neck held upright over fine legs leads to our animal sculptures, and colourless resin given one grade of polish joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
