Forelegs a little apart and the muzzle taken all the way down to the ground, the hind in this cast resin sculpture runs its neck from shoulder to nose as one long diagonal. There are no antlers and very little detail anywhere: the ears are small, the tail is short, and the body is a plain smooth mass. Everything is optically clear and polished, and the piece is wider front to back than it is high.
With the head down, the neck is at full stretch and it is the thinnest long section on the animal while also carrying the heaviest single part of it. It is therefore cut a little fuller than a hind's neck really is, and the extra is taken out of the top line rather than the throat, so the silhouette from the side stays true while the section stays sound. The muzzle is the other exacting passage. It comes within a few millimetres of the surface the animal stands on, close enough that a wrong angle makes the head look driven into the ground rather than reaching for it, and that gap is judged by eye with the animal stood on a flat bench. Nothing else on the animal is detailed at all.
A grazing animal reads along its length from the side, so give it a run of clear surface: a console, a low bookcase top, a hearth, a broad windowsill. It looks wrong on a small table, where it overhangs. Leave the space in front of the muzzle empty; that space is the ground the animal is reaching for and a book or a bowl there ruins it. Against a dark surface the whole diagonal reads as a bright line; on a pale one the animal softens into what it stands on.
Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. How low the head goes is chosen at order, anywhere from this full graze to an alert raised head, and the same body can carry antlers as a stag. The material will take a pale rose, a green, a smoke or an amber, and a frosted animal is offered in place of the polished one. Walking, standing or lying deer can be cut to this scale to make a group. Sizes above and below are cut to order. It comes in one fitted crate with nothing to put together; one person places it, holding the body rather than the neck. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A hind grazing with her head to the ground belongs with our deer statues; a neck stretched to the full leads to our animal sculptures, and clear resin polished to the hoof joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
