Clear Gold-Flecked Guardian Lion Resin Pillar in three heights (89/96/140cm), each clear column with scattered gold flakes topped by a forward-facing lion, on a plain white background.
Clear Gold-Flecked Guardian Lion Resin Pillar - 89/96/140cm $3,64600
Description

Here the pillar carries no relief at all: the faces are left clear and gently waved, and flakes of gold leaf are scattered through the whole body from the cap to the foot. A small guardian lion sits facing forward on top, its curls cut deep. Three heights are offered as size options.

Gold Leaf Through a Plain Clear Pillar

Without the relief, the leaf is the only drawing on the pillar, so it is spread with care: denser in some passages and thinner in others, so the column never reads as an even speckle. The waved faces turn the highlight into a soft band that moves as you pass, which stops a tall clear shape from reading as plain tube. The small lion is cut with fine tools, its curls deep enough to hold their own shadow, and it sits on a separate block so it can be turned to face the room. Each pillar holds its flakes differently.

At 140cm the tallest stands on the floor as a piece of its own, and the other two heights stand on a console, a deep sill or a low plinth, about level with a seated visitor's face. In twos they frame a doorway, a fireplace or the foot of a stair on a very small footprint. Light from the side wakes the gold; a downlight finds only the lion.

Three Heights, the Leaf and Delivery

Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. Each of the three heights has its own price. Gold, silver or copper flakes can fill it, packed more densely or thinned to a scatter, and the lion on top may be gilded or tinted. A gilded relief can be added to the faces where a richer piece is wanted. Each pillar travels upright in its own crate, the lion's block packed separately and set in place by hand on arrival; the tallest needs two people. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A clear lion pillar with gold leaf all through it belongs with our abstract sculptures; a plain waved shaft under a seated lion leads to our indoor sculptures, and leaf hanging at every depth of the resin joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
