Description

Bright orange leather covers the seat of this armchair, and at either side it curls upward into an arm that flares out at its end. Around it the frame is cast in colourless resin: a broad back panel with a dipped top edge and pointed corners, standing on two narrow posts, and four clear legs beneath the seat. The colour is all in the upholstery, and everything else is transparent.

Orange Upholstery Held in Colourless Resin

Orange is a strong colour to put in a transparent chair, and here it has the whole job. The resin carries no tint at all, so from a few steps away the back panel and legs almost vanish and the seat seems to hover with its two arms raised. Up close the panel shows its edges as bright lines where the cut catches the light, and the legs keep a faint polish along their corners. The leather is smooth and evenly dyed, folded tidily over the rim of the seat, and nothing else on the chair holds any colour.

At 88cm the chair suits a writing desk as readily as a dining table, and its padded seat stays comfortable through a long meal. Orange lifts a white or grey interior and works beside walnut or dark oak. Choose an uncluttered floor beneath it so the frame stays nearly invisible, and let daylight fall across it from one side. Indoor use only.

Choosing the Hide, the Panel and the Frame Tint

Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The leather can be any colour you choose, from this orange to a deep burgundy, a chocolate brown or a soft stone, and a woven fabric can replace it. The back panel can be drawn higher or given rounded corners, and the frame can be cast with a light tint if a fully clear one is not wanted. Tell us the height of your table and the seat is set to match it. Several chairs for one room are covered from the same hide. Each one arrives finished in its own crate, light enough for one person to carry in. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
