Clear Folded Billet Resin Coffee Table, 100cm, with rippled top and folded, wave-like resin sides, shown on a plain white background.
Clear Folded Billet Resin Coffee Table - 100cm $9,92300
Description

This clear resin coffee table has a flat rippled top and a folded underside, and because the plan is long rather than square the folds run along the piece from end to end rather than gathering under a centre. They read through the thickness as a run of heavy, rounded billows, hanging between ends that come down solid to meet the floor.

Folds Running the Length of a Clear Billet

Direction is what this piece is about. The folds lie broadly parallel along the long axis, so from the front the table reads as a row of rounded billows and from the end as a single crumpled section, which gives it a front and a back. The top is flat within its ripples and the underside is polished to the same standard, since clear material hides nothing in it from any angle. Its broad faces are the ones worth turning to the room; the narrow ends, cast solid down to the floor, are the quieter view.

It works as a coffee table for a two or three seat sofa, with room along it for a tray and some books, while its slim depth leaves a clear walkway beside it. Being rectangular it wants to be squared to the seating rather than set at an angle. It earns a hard floor, where light gets under it and the folds show; a rug takes the underside out of play. It is heavy for its size and does not want moving about. Indoor use only.

Crating a Piece That Sits on Its Own Folds

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. Because the piece has no foot, no leg and no flat base, how it travels is not a detail. It goes top down on a fitted pallet with the folds standing in the air and the flat top carrying the whole weight, which is the only attitude in which nothing bears on a crease. It is unpacked and turned upright in the room it will stand in, by two people, and it is set down in one movement rather than walked into place, because dragging it puts the load onto whichever fold happens to be lowest. Check the floor is level first: the contact points sit at slightly different depths and a sloping floor puts the weight onto two of them. Beyond the plan and the ripple depth, tints are offered from the studio range. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A long clear billet with billowing folds under it fits our contemporary and modern sculptures, serves among our art furniture and keeps its long casting with our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
