This cast resin sculpture stands square, a stag with the head carried up and a heavy rack of antlers branching out over it. It is optically clear throughout, and over the flanks, the haunches and the upper legs runs a pattern of fern-like fronds, frosted where the rest of the body is polished. From a distance the pattern reads as a shadow inside the animal; close to, it is plainly a worked surface.
A pattern on a curved clear body has to hold one depth or it stops being a pattern. Each frond is cut to the same shallow bite, and on a flank that is turning away from the tool that means the angle of attack changes along every single stroke; too deep at the crown of the curve and the frond reads as a chip, too shallow at the edge and it fades out halfway. So the fronds are laid out on the finished polished body, cut one at a time, and checked by turning the animal against a dark ground where a frosted line shows at its clearest. The length of clear casting is the other constraint. At this scale the legs carry a great deal of material and any cloudiness in them is unhideable, so they are checked against the light before the pattern is begun.
At 200cm the animal sets the room rather than sitting in it, so give it an entrance hall, an atrium or the open middle of a large space, with clearance above for the rack and on both sides for it. Check the doorways on the way in. It is at its best in front of planting or a window, where the clear body fills with what is behind it and the frosted fronds stay pale against it. Against a flat dark wall the whole animal reads as an outline and the pattern carries the piece on its own.
Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The rack is made heavier or lighter to order, and the same animal is offered as a hind carrying none at all. What is patterned is open: these fronds, a scale field, a bamboo, or a plain polished animal with nothing cut on it. Pattern depth runs from this shallow frost to a deep relief. A tint through the resin is available in amber, smoke or a soft green. Any height is cut to order, above this one as well as below. It travels standing in a fitted crate with the rack cased apart and seats by hand; three people are wanted to stand it up. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A stag patterned with frosted fronds belongs with our deer statues; a heavy rack of antlers leads to our animal sculptures, and a fern drawn over clear resin joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
