Square on all four legs with a full rack of antlers carried high, this cast resin sculpture is a faceted stag. What separates it from a modelled stag is the surface: the body is cut into large flat facets, so shoulder, flank and haunch each read as a set of planes meeting at a hard line rather than as one curved form. Light does not run across it; it breaks. The antlers keep their natural branching, which sets the sharp body against the one organic part.
Faceting a clear casting is an exercise in edges. Every arris between two planes is a line the eye follows, so a facet a degree out of true reads as a dent, and the planes are cut and then flatted by hand against a reference rather than sanded by feel. The edges themselves are left sharp: rounding them would soften exactly the effect the piece exists for, and a rounded arris in clear resin turns into a bright worm of light. The facets are laid out from the anatomy outward, so the largest planes fall on the flank where there is room for them and the smallest gather at the face. The antler rack is cast separately and set in, as every branching antler must be.
At this height the stag is a floor animal, and the faceting rewards a position with a strong single light: one downlight or one window makes each plane a different tone, while flat ambient light flattens the whole surface into one grey mass. It suits an entrance, the end of a long room or a corner where two walls stand behind it. Measure the doorway before it comes: the antler spread is wider than the body.
Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. Facet size is set at order and it changes the animal completely - large planes read as a cut gem, small ones as a hammered surface. The antler rack can be taken to more or fewer points, or exchanged for a doe's bare head. A tint is offered through the body in a smoke, a bronze or a green, and the facets can be frosted while the rest stays polished. Size is cut to order. Body and antlers travel in one crate in separate trays and go together on site. The body is a two-person lift and the antlers are a one-person carry. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A stag whose body is cut in flat planes belongs with our deer statues; a rack left naturally branched leads to our figurative sculptures, and faceted clear resin joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
