Clear Embedded Twig Cast Resin Bar Stool, 90cm, with domed back and rounded legs enclosing bare twigs and leaves, shown on a plain white background.
Clear Embedded Twig Cast Resin Bar Stool - 90cm $4,45500
Description

The stool is a clear resin frame with a domed back, a dished seat, four legs and a full stretcher rail running round near the floor. Every member is soft and rounded with no sharp arris anywhere. Held inside the resin are bare twigs, brown and fine, running up through the legs with a few dry leaves among them, and a single leaf is caught in the back. They sit at different depths, so each is read at a different focus as you move round it.

Twigs in the Legs and a Leaf in the Back

What is inside the material is the reason to own this stool. Bare twigs rise within the clear legs, branching finely, with dry leaves caught here and there among them, and one leaf floats on its own in the domed back. The frame itself is deliberately quiet: every member is soft and rounded, there is no sharp arris anywhere on it, and the full stretcher rail near the floor is left plain. That restraint matters - a frame with any detail of its own would compete with what it holds. No two stools contain the same twigs, and the arrangement cannot be specified.

At 90cm this bar stool suits a kitchen counter or an island, and the rail that runs round its legs near the floor gives the feet somewhere to rest through a long evening. Light from behind is what shows the twigs, so a window or a lamp behind the counter is worth more than anything in front of it. The frame is clear and takes the tone of whatever it stands on. Two people to place. Indoor use.

What Goes Inside, and the Lead Time

Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. Most of it is the embedded twigs. Three things can change. The resin is offered tinted, the twigs can be held in the legs alone or taken up into the back and seat as well, and the stretcher can be dropped to three sides. What goes inside is ours to select. Give us a seat height and an overall width and it is made to them. Which twigs are held in the legs is common to a single order and particular to it. The stretcher rail and the four leg ends must go in padded, and two people are needed to place it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A bar stool with bare twigs held in its clear legs gives our art furniture a seat for the counter; the quiet frame around its hidden branches suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a kitchen stool with a full footrail is shown among our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
