A cube of clear resin with every arris rounded off and every face pressed gently inward, so the block looks as though it softened before it set. Colourless, and the dished faces are the only thing that separates it from a block of glass. Nothing at all is supplied with it. The cube sits on whichever face is downward.
A cube with softened edges is a plain object and an unforgiving one, because the material is the only thing on offer. There is no subject, no pose and no colour to look at, so what is left is the material and the accuracy of the six faces, and either of those being a fraction out is the only thing anybody would ever notice about it. A cast body this thick has to set evenly right through, or it holds a shadow in the middle where there is nowhere to hide one. Polished on every face, with the faces left slightly dished as though the cube had begun to melt.
A desk or a coffee table. This one is small, and it exists to be turned over in the hand. It takes its whole character from what is behind it, so that is the only decision to make. Light through it comes out somewhere unexpected, which is most of the pleasure of it. Nothing about it reads at room distance. All of it reads in the hand.
Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. A tint is put through the body, the edges are left sharp, and it is made at other sizes. Leave the edges sharp and the dishing goes too, because the two are one decision about how melted the cube is. Twenty is the size it was drawn at. Another size is a fresh drawing and not a scaling, because the depth of the dishing is settled against the width of the face it sits in. One piece in a small fitted crate, and nothing to do on arrival. One person, one hand, though it is heavy for its size. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A cube softened at every edge and dished on every face sits well in our indoor sculptures; its pure, pared-back geometry belongs to our contemporary and modern sculptures, and the clear casting sits with our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
