The top of this cast resin disc table is a thin clear disc, faintly swirled at the centre and squared off at the rim, and it is carried on a single asymmetric fin of clear resin that leans to one side and is polished smooth. The fin is the whole base, with nothing at its foot and no second support, so the disc appears to be held up by almost nothing.
The fin is cast solid and polished clear on both faces, which is what makes the base disappear and the disc appear unsupported. Holding a thin disc flat through the cure is the difficult part of the build, because a clear top of that diameter shows any dish or twist immediately when it is set against a straight edge. The rim is squared off rather than rounded, and the faint swirl at the centre is a property of the pour that is left where it falls rather than polished out.
This is a round coffee table for the front of a sofa or between two facing chairs, and its circle can be met from whichever side the seating falls, with no corner to catch a shin. The fin leans, so there is more floor free on one side than the other, and it is worth setting the lean away from the main walking line.
Delivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. Most of it is the leaning fin. Three points are open. The lean of the fin can be set to your own angle, the disc can be supplied tinted, and the rim can be rounded instead of squared. Top diameter and floor to top are quoted to whatever you need. The lean of the fin is common to a single order and particular to it. The packing is designed round the disc rim and the fin tip; allow four people on arrival. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A thin disc balanced on one clear fin gives our art furniture a coffee table that seems to float; the leaning support suits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a room it can be walked round among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
